Its vision is to build a strong, self-reliant community that supports sustainable development with access to education, healthcare, and a healthy environment. Its mission includes creating awareness and taking action for environmental protection, guiding needy students towards education, supporting the holistic development of women and children, securing forest and land rights for tribal communities, and raising health and hygiene awareness in rural areas. Sanvaadi (AAS) is a social organization based in Saswad, Purandar Taluka, established on International Women’s Day, 8th March 2021. Guided by the motto “Training, Awareness, Transformation,” the organization focuses on empowering rural women through initiatives in health, education, and livelihood. It supports innovative experiments through collective efforts of poor farmers—especially women—empowers single women, and encourages active participation of socially conscious youth in rural development. Sanvaadi also promotes the values of the Indian Constitution through thoughtful dialogue and action. Its ongoing work includes health awareness and check-up camps for women, Women’s Day programs, agricultural training, constitutional awareness sessions in villages and schools, and a consistent social media campaign called “Vivek Jagar” for the past four years. The organization has also published Loknayak, a book compiling the thoughts of revolutionary leader Jayaprakash Narayan.

With the belief that everyone should contribute something to society, we established our organization with that sentiment in mind. Our organization was registered on April 5, 2024, and its registration number is F0022499. Currently, our primary focus is on children and women. Through our initiative “Spandan Play School”, we are providing quality education to children from underprivileged and laborer families at a very nominal fee. In addition, we guide women who have suffered injustice and abuse, offer educational counseling for girls, raise awareness against female foeticide, and empower women by giving lectures on creating their own identity in society. We are also working to support married women who face mental and physical abuse, helping them seek proper justice, and encouraging them to become self-reliant. Our work continues in line with the values of unity and integrity, as outlined in our organization’s bylaws. We are committed to upholding these principles in all our initiatives moving forward.

Its work includes efforts in health, education, employment, and addressing superstitions, harmful customs, traditions, and caste-based councils within the Phasepardhi community. The primary objective of the organization is to bring students from the Phasepardhi community into the mainstream education system.

Name of the organization : Gaolao Govansh Jatan, Sanvardhan, Sanshodhan Va Paidaskar Charitable Trust

Our trust is leading a community-driven initiative to preserve the Gaolao cattle, a breed that represents both our identity and that of Wardha district. As the Gaolao breed was on the verge of extinction in this region, we have been actively working for its conservation for the past eleven years, and our trust has been officially registered for five years. In addition to saving the Gaolao cows, we believe it is essential to conserve their natural habitat. Therefore, we are engaged in grassland conservation and rejuvenation efforts, which have progressed in three villages so far. We are also raising awareness about forest rights among local villages. As a result, we have submitted forest rights claims for five villages. To address the challenges faced by Gaolao cattle herders and caretakers, we are continuously following up with both government authorities and local communities. Since 2016, we have been organizing regular Gaolao exhibitions to build public respect for the breed and promote its conservation. Today, Gaolao cows, which were once nearly extinct, can be seen at the doorsteps of 300 of our trust’s members. We are also working on how to increase their population and conducting research to improve their productivity.

Ovi Foundation is an organization based in Yavatmal district that works with nomadic, denotified, tribal, and marginalized communities, focusing on children and women. Our core belief is: “Education for every child, dignity for every woman.” We operate three learning centers — Jnanajyoti, Balkatta, and Balanagari — as well as one Zilla Parishad school, where we support over 450 children. Alongside formal education, we focus on reading, arts, sports, communication, skill-based learning, and child nutrition. Balanagari is not just a center for children, but a community development hub. It hosts educational classes for women, guidance programs for adolescent girls, and initiatives centered on health and empowerment. Currently, we work directly with 120 families, 200 women, and 60 adolescent girls.

Name of the organization : ADIVASI AADIM SAMAJIK, PUNE

The Adivasi Aadim Samajik Sanstha, also known as the AAS Sanstha, was established on May 23, 2023, in Raigad-Alibag and is registered with the Charity Commissioner of Raigad. The organization was founded by Anil Waghmare, who serves as its President, along with other office bearers. They came together in response to the ongoing injustices and exploitation faced by the Katkari community, a particularly vulnerable tribal group. These injustices often involved incidents at police stations, courts, and other legal forums, which highlighted the urgent need for a structured response. As a result, the organization was registered to collectively advocate for justice and social change. In the past two years, the organization has: Submitted petitions to various government offices, Intervened in cases of injustice and exploitation, Fought for fair compensation and legal aid for Katkari individuals whose land was bought at unfairly low prices, and Provided legal counsel and court representation through its panel of legal advisors who actively fight cases on behalf of the community. A major focus of the organization is education within tribal hamlets and settlements. They work with children aged 1 to 14, helping them with school curriculum, memorization, and addressing any challenges they face in the learning process. In addition, the organization actively promotes tribal culture and heritage by celebrating Adivasi Pride Day, Tribal Day, and commemorating the birth and death anniversaries of tribal revolutionaries, thus raising awareness and pride in the community.

To create employment opportunities for the youth (boys and girls) of the Adivasi Phasepardhi community and enable them to earn a livelihood through self-employment initiatives. To empower women and self-help groups from the community by providing them with income-generating opportunities. To bring children from the Adivasi Phasepardhi community into the mainstream education system and raise awareness about the importance of education. To ensure access to healthcare for the community by organizing medical camps and health awareness programs. To help homeless members of the Phasepardhi community secure their rightful housing. To assist farmers from the community in accessing rightful government schemes and entitlements. To help the community obtain citizenship documents and address citizenship-related issues at the root level. To organize community marriage ceremonies for the youth and integrate them into the mainstream society. Definition and Background of the Organization: The organization emerged from the persistent police atrocities, everyday struggles for survival, and violence faced by women, children, and youth in the Adivasi Phasepardhi community. At a time when no one was ready to stand up against these issues, the Yuva Ekta Adivasi Phasepardhi Samaj Sanghatana Amravati repeatedly engaged in protests and hunger strikes. Eventually, recognizing the need to bring the community’s children into the mainstream and address fundamental issues, the organization was formed — despite many challenges to basic survival.
